Seasonal work refers to temporary jobs and work required by organizations which experience seasonal demand for their products and services, for example, ski resorts are fully booked in winter holidays, especially when it’s snowing; sheep shearing happens in spring (which occurs at different times of the year depending on the hemisphere); fruit needs to be picked as quickly as possible, etc. Whether you are qualified and experienced or not, there are opportunities to work and travel doing seasonal work.
Most gappers have just left school and do not have any special skills or training, so usually unskilled jobs are the only way to make money during your gap year.
